LOCAL PROJECTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY

FIRE STATIONS
The Association was involved on three of the new fire stations and one addition. We donated materials and labor and saved the community hundreds of thousands of tax payers dollars. |

CONCESSION STAND
Our Association helped the Lions Club build the concession stand at the Red Rider Rodeo Grounds, which has benefited the County, Lions Club, Red Rider Rodeo Grounds and anyone that uses the facilities. |

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
- The Builders Association of Pagosa built the Gazebo and bathrooms in Town Park, providing 100% of labor and materials.
- We were a major contributor in both materials and labor with the building of the New Chamber of Commerce Building.
- We built the Kiosk for the Chamber in 2003.
- With the Boy Scouts, we built 50 picnic tables for Town Parks.

HIGH SCHOOL
This Association was a key factor in the major remodel of the previous High School which is now the Jr. High School, contributing materials and 100% of the labor. |

MUSEUM
We donated cash to get the grant writer to write the grant that has kept the museum open and paid for the remodel in 2005. |

SEEDS OF LEARNING
Our Members helped to build the original playground for the school and helped them to move into their current location. |

LIBRARY
During the remodel when the Library was temporarily relocated to the Humane Society Thrift Store in 2005, our Assoiciation built stairs and a ramp at the temporary location. |

COUNTY EXTENTION BUILDING AT THE FAIRGROUNDS
We remodeled the kitchen in the extention building and on numerous occasions have done repair work on the bleachers at the Fairgrounds. |

HANDICAP WORKFORCE
The Association remolded the workforce building. |
| |
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Many of our members volunteer time, materials and the use of their equipment. |
| |
MONETARY DONATIONS
On many occassions the Association has donated part of its entrance fees to our Home and Garden Show. Some of the recipients have been the Boy Scouts, Humane Society, 4H Club, Special Olympics and the Girl Scouts. |

HIGH SCHOOL CARPENTRY APPRENTICE PROGRAM
With the assistance of our members, students have completed 576 classroom hours and 8000 hours of on-the-job carpentry experience to become a certified Journeyman Carpenter. |
